Maid of Honor... Mary Maureen Horton - On September 21, 1983 the Horton family was blessed with Megan's younger sister Mary. As youngsters Mary and Megan enjoyed anything that involved My Little Ponies and/or Barbies. As the teenage years approached they grew apart as siblings tend to do. Now as both attend the University of Iowa, they are in the same city but do not live together-- and are consequently much better friends.
Best Man... Tyler Lechtenberg - Fresh out of college, but still masquerading in the Iowa City college scene, Tyler is in his third year living with Tom. He enjoys solving world crises, medicating the sick, performing brain surgery, masterminding grand battle schemes, boiling lobster to perfection, manipulating an entire population with the letters "WMD," and, of course, Play-Doh. Yet, through all that, if there's one thing he's learned during his 22 years on Earth, it's this: Megan has her hands full.
Bridesmaid... Bethany Ann McElroy - Since high school Bethany has been Megan's best friend and as such this is what Megan wants the world to know about her. Bethany is a 5'3" single gal with a great personality and really soft hair. She is studying to become a middle school math teacher but also enjoys a good engineering course here and there. An Aries, Bethany enjoys the outdoors, nice looking men, and a good beer (not necessarily in that order).
Groomsman... James Andrew Ross - James Ross, the appointed (relatively) elder statesmen of the wedding party, is a man of many metaphorical hats. Let us briefly review: waiter, student, banker, teacher, director, banker, shepherd, farmer, banker, pianist, anachronism, and writer. A friend of the groom since introducing him to the wonders of persuasive speech, he now (as then) resides outside of Underwood, IA, where he watches the seasons turn and new houses encroach upon his view.
Bridesmaid... Kara Ann Hegna - Kara is Tom's little sister, in more ways than one. As a youngter, Kara was the shy, quiet younger sister, who followed her big brother everywhere (getting pushed down a few times in the process). All grown up now, this blonde haired, green eyed bombshell is a junior at Northwest Missouri State University and majoring in Elementary Education/ Early Childhood. Kara has waited her whole life to have a sister and is thrilled for the engaged couple.
